The mission of the St. Barnabas Knitting Guild is to foster a love of knitting with friendship, fun, and conversation.
Some recent projects of the Knitting Guild include:
- knitting baby hats, booties, sweaters and blankets;
- bridal gifts (such as placemats);
- hats, scarves, and sweaters which are mailed to Seaman’s Church Institute;
- helmet liners for the U.S. Armed Forces.
The Knitting Guild has talented teachers who can encourage new knitters and challenge our more skilled knitters. There is always a supply of yarn available along with patterns for the various projects.
We have created Prayer Shawls for parish members and others on the occasions
of illness, celebration and hospitalization. In addition to our needle art activities, we have the pleasure of enjoying each other’s company. All church and community members are welcome.
