Although rarely seen in action, the Altar Guild plays a very important role in the life of the parish. It is responsible for preparing the church for worship for every occasion and rite. This includes care of vessels, vestments, and other articles needed for the liturgical year. Their duty is a quiet one, melded in prayers and devotion to Our Lord.
Those wishing for more information should contact Anne Hightower, Chairman of the St. Mary’s Altar Guild. Interested parties must be confirmed and active participants of St. Barnabas’ for one year prior to requesting membership in this Guild.
